The SBTR045 belongs to the Selection S Series. Its appeal is in the balance: sporting chronograph details, vintage-inspired colouring and modern quartz convenience, without trying to be an oversized statement piece.

Design & Dial

The cream dial is the star here, reading as soft off-white or warm champagne depending on the light. Applied silver-tone hour markers and dark-edged hands give it definition, while the three recessed subdials add depth without overwhelming the face.

At nine o’clock is the 60-minute chronograph counter, with running seconds at six and a 24-hour indicator at three. The latter follows the main time display rather than providing a separate time zone. A framed date window sits between four and five o’clock.

The fixed black tachymeter bezel gives the pale dial a sharp border and reinforces the racing-inspired styling. Brushed surfaces and polished accents bring contrast to the stainless steel case, while the multi-link bracelet finishes with a Seiko-signed push-button folding clasp.

Hardlex crystal protects the dial, with LumiBrite specified for the hands and indices.

Movement

Powered by Seiko’s calibre 8T63 quartz movement, with a chronograph measuring up to 60 minutes in 1/5-second increments, alongside the date, running seconds and 24-hour display.

Seiko specifies an average accuracy of ±15 seconds per month for this calibre. The watch and all its functions are working perfectly at the time of listing.

The caseback is marked 8T63-02R0 and carries a 10-bar water-resistance rating. This is the original specification, not a claim of a current pressure test.

Condition

A very well-presented pre-loved example, with the watch head in great condition. The crystal, case and caseback all present particularly well, allowing the cream dial and contrasting bezel to remain the focus.

The clasp and one side of the bracelet have picked up light surface scratches, shown clearly in the close-up photographs. As with all pre-loved watches, other small marks or imperfections may be visible upon close inspection of the photographs — please study every image carefully before purchasing.

The accompanying paperwork records a purchase date of 16 August 2025 and identifies the SBTR045 reference. The warranty cards are included as accompanying documentation; no promise of transferable or UK-valid warranty cover is made.
