About Mondaine
Mondaine has been making watches inspired by the iconic Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) station clock since 1986. Designed by Hans Hilfiker in 1944, the original station clock is one of the most recognisable clock faces in the world — and Mondaine’s wristwatches faithfully reproduce that clean, purposeful aesthetic. Licensed by SBB (Schweizerische Bundesbahnen / CFF / FFS), these are genuine Swiss Made timepieces, not imitations.
Design & Dial
The watch features a round stainless steel case approximately 30mm in diameter and 7.0mm thick — a compact, feminine size that wears beautifully on smaller wrists. The crisp white dial carries the classic railway clock layout: bold black baton hour markers, a fine minute track, and the instantly recognisable red seconds hand. The dial is printed with MONDAINE / SBB CFF FFS / Swiss Made — a mark of authentic Swiss Federal Railways licensing. The watch sits on a fine stainless steel mesh bracelet that integrates seamlessly with the case.
Movement
Powered by a Swiss quartz movement, this Mondaine delivers accurate, reliable timekeeping with minimal maintenance required.
Condition
This watch is in Fair condition and is priced accordingly. The acrylic crystal shows visible chips and scratches, particularly noticeable when catching the light — clearly photographed and disclosed. The case and lugs show wear marks and light scratching consistent with years of use. The mesh bracelet presents reasonably well. The movement is running. As with all pre-loved watches, other small marks or imperfections may be visible upon close inspection of the photographs — please study every image carefully before purchasing.
