Design & Dial

The H40 is a handsome, understated watch that rewards close attention. The 40mm polished stainless steel case is generously proportioned without being oversized, wearing with authority on the wrist. The distinctive large crown at 3 o'clock adds to the tool-watch aesthetic.

The anthracite/charcoal dial is clean and highly legible — white Arabic numerals, crisp white dauphine hour and minute hands, and a vivid red seconds hand that is impossible to miss. The Haiken flower rosette logo sits at 12 o'clock, adding a subtle British identity mark. "H40" and "G.B." are printed below centre, leaving the dial uncluttered and purposeful.

This does not affect wearability and is clearly visible in the photographs. The watch is working perfectly.
