About ATOP

ATOP is a Taiwanese watch brand founded in 1991 with a single focus: world time watches done properly. Their signature innovation is the Automatic Worldtime function — a rotating city bezel mechanism that automatically advances the hour hand in 30-minute half-hour increments as you turn it, instantly showing the correct local time for whichever city is aligned at 12 o’clock. It is important to note that the word “Automatic” in “Automatic Worldtime” refers to this automatic hand-setting mechanism, not the movement type — this is a quartz-powered watch.

Design & Dial

The white dial is clean and uncluttered, with a subtle sunburst texture that catches the light. Silver-tone dauphiné hands sit at the centre, with a moon phase display at 9 o’clock — a colourful and vivid day/night indicator rendered in deep blue with yellow and white detailing. A small seconds subdial sits at approximately 5 o’clock, and a red DST (Daylight Saving Time) indicator arrow sits just above 12, helping you account for seasonal time changes when travelling.

The outer dial ring carries a minute/second track, and the large 3 and 12 numerals in bold provide quick orientation. “ATOP” is printed in clean capitals above centre, with “Automatic Worldtime” — referring to the bezel function — printed below.

The rotating world time bezel is the star of the show: a knurled, machined silver-tone ring engraved with 24 city names spanning every time zone on earth, including London, Paris, Moscow, Dubai, Bangkok, Tokyo, Sydney, Auckland, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and more. Turn the bezel to align your destination city with 12 o’clock, and the hour hand moves to show local time in that zone. A black arrow at 12 acts as the reference point.

The white polymer case integrates seamlessly with the white silicone/rubber strap, creating a bold, monochromatic sport-meets-dress aesthetic. The strap features a ribbed texture on the inner surface for breathability and is secured with an ATOP-branded white polymer pin buckle.

Movement

Quartz movement, running accurately at the time of listing. The “Automatic Worldtime” designation refers to the mechanical bezel function — the movement itself is quartz, not automatic. This is an important distinction and we want to be completely transparent about it.

Condition

Very good pre-loved condition. The dial is clean and free from damage. The crystal presents well with no visible chips or cracks. The case and strap present cleanly overall. There is a small amount of wear on the coin slot on the caseback, visible in the photographs — consistent with normal use and reflected in the price.
