About the Zenith Espada

Zenith has been crafting fine timepieces in Le Locle, Switzerland since 1865 — one of the few manufactures to produce its own movements entirely in-house. The Espada was part of Zenith's 1990s range, positioned as an accessible entry point into the Zenith universe without compromising on quality or Swiss heritage. Clean, confident, and built to last, the Espada remains a collector-friendly piece that punches well above its current market price. The caseback is engraved with the Zenith logo and confirms Swiss Made and Stainless Steel construction.

Design & Dial

The dial is a beautifully proportioned white/cream face dressed with classic Roman numerals at the quarter hours, complemented by slim applied hour markers at the remaining positions. A date window sits at 3 o'clock. ZENITH is printed at 12 o'clock above the elegant ESPADA signature below. Slim baton-style hands in polished silver-tone keep the reading clean and legible. The round stainless steel case (approx. 38mm) is paired with a tachymeter-style fixed bezel with raised minute markings — adding a sporty edge to the otherwise dressy dial. The stainless steel integrated bracelet features alternating polished and brushed links with a signed fold-over deployment clasp, fitting wrists comfortably up to 7½ inches.

Powered by a Swiss quartz movement, confirmed Swiss Made on the caseback. Accurate, reliable, and low-maintenance — with the heritage of Zenith behind it. The caseback also confirms Water Resistant status, making this a practical everyday companion as well as a dressed occasion piece.

Condition

Condition: Fair (crystal) / Very Good (case and bracelet) — The case and stainless steel bracelet present in very good condition with only light signs of previous wear. The dial and movement are functioning well. However, the crystal carries deep scratches which are clearly visible and honestly reflected in the price. A watchmaker could replace the crystal relatively inexpensively to bring this piece up to an excellent standard — something to consider if you're looking for a project or a bargain entry into Swiss horology.
