About the Pulsar Day-Date

Pulsar is a Seiko Group brand with a proud heritage in quartz watchmaking — the name itself is synonymous with the birth of the digital watch era, with the original Pulsar LED watch launched in 1972 making history as the world’s first electronic digital watch. The brand subsequently became Seiko’s accessible quartz line, producing reliable, well-finished dress watches that punch above their price point. This day-date model is a fine example of that tradition — clean Japanese quartz engineering in a classically proportioned dress case.

Design & Dial

The dial is an immaculate white with gold baton hour markers at every hour and slender gold-tone hands — elegant and easy to read. A neat day/date window at 3 o’clock displays both the day (in abbreviated text) and date simultaneously. The PULSAR name is printed cleanly across the upper dial. The gold-tone round case measures 33.2mm wide with a lug-to-lug of 35.7mm and a case thickness of just 7.9mm — beautifully slim and dressy. The crystal is clear with no significant marks. The watch is fitted on a brown croc-embossed leather strap with a gold-tone pin buckle, completing the warm, classic aesthetic perfectly.

Movement

Powered by a Japanese quartz module (confirmed MOYI JAPAN on case back), keeping accurate time with minimal maintenance. Confirmed working at time of listing. Battery replacement is the only routine requirement.

Condition

Graded: Good. The dial is clean and bright with no spotting or damage. The gold-tone case presents well with no significant marks visible. The crystal is clear. The strap face is in good condition with the croc embossing well-defined and the colour intact. However, the reverse of the strap shows age-related wear and cracking, clearly visible in our close-up photographs — this is purely cosmetic and does not affect wearability, but we flag it honestly as always. The strap is a standard size and easy to replace if preferred. Please study every photograph carefully before purchasing, including our detailed close-ups of the strap reverse.
