About Jacques Lemans

The Hybromatic line captures that more inventive side of the brand. Alongside its bold styling, it offers the interest of a moving rotor with the convenience of quartz timekeeping, making this a particularly appealing alternative to a conventional automatic or everyday quartz watch.

Design & Dial

The black dial makes an excellent backdrop for the orange-framed minute hand and slender orange seconds hand. Silver-tone baton markers, prominent numerals at 12 and 6, and a framed date window at 3 o’clock give the face a clean, balanced layout.

The hands and hour markers glow a vivid blue-green in the supplied lume photograph. Around the dial, the black bezel combines white and orange numbered markings with a luminous marker at its top, reinforcing the watch’s sporty character without overwhelming the face.

The black-finished stainless steel case has substantial, angular lugs, a signed crown and an exhibition back that reveals the movement beneath. A fitted black rubber-style strap continues the all-black appearance, with a ribbed underside, twin keepers and a signed Jacques Lemans black buckle.

Movement

Inside is the PX82A hybrid automatic-quartz movement, with its marking visible through the transparent caseback. Wrist movement drives a rotor to generate electrical energy for quartz timekeeping, rather than powering a conventional mechanical escapement.

During our checks, the watch started after a few gentle shakes and was then worn for a full day, with no noticeable timekeeping discrepancy observed. It is working correctly at the time of listing; this is a practical wear-test observation rather than a guarantee of a particular daily accuracy.

Functions comprise hours, minutes, central seconds and a date display at 3 o’clock. The dial and caseback carry a 10 ATM water-resistance marking. This is the original rating, not confirmation of current water resistance.

Condition

Excellent pre-loved condition, with a particularly smart black-and-orange presentation. The photographs show the dial, crystal, case, strap, buckle and movement from a range of angles, including a separate lume photograph.

The accompanying Jacques Lemans box has a good interior, while the rear of the box has been repaired. No papers are included.
