Design & Dial

The charcoal sunburst dial is the centrepiece — dark and deep, with a gradient that shifts from near-black at the centre to a softer grey at the edges. The embossed geometric stag motif sits prominently above 12, rendered in tonal dark relief against the dial. Index hour markers and a dot minute track keep the layout clean, with silver-tone baton hands providing confident legibility. A date window sits at 3 o’clock, and a small seconds subdial sits at 6, adding a watchmaker’s touch to an otherwise minimalist face. “HARTLEY” is printed in clean capitals at 6.

The polished silver-tone round case is slim and well-proportioned, with a signed “H” crown at 3 o’clock. The caseback carries a brushed finish with the Hartley geometric stag engraved at its centre, alongside “SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL” and “5ATM” confirming the crystal and water resistance specification.

Condition

Very good pre-loved condition. The dial is clean and free from damage. The sapphire crystal presents well with no visible cracks or chips. The case shows only minor signs of wear. The strap has some light scuffing and wear to the surface, clearly visible in the photographs — this is reflected in the price.
