About the Flik Flak

Flik Flak is the children’s watch brand from the Swatch Group — one of the most respected names in Swiss watchmaking. Since the 1980s, Flik Flak has been the go-to choice for teaching kids to tell the time, combining Swiss-made quality with playful, durable designs built to handle the rough and tumble of childhood. This tribal / military-themed example, bearing the © ETA 2004 marking on the dial, is a characterful piece from the brand’s archive — collectible, rugged, and still fully working.

Design & Dial

The dial is a dark charcoal / black finish with clear white Arabic numerals (1 through 12) and a concentric inner minute/seconds track — designed specifically to make learning to read the time as simple as possible. Distinct white hour and minute hands stand out sharply against the dark background. The Flik Flak script logo and SWISS / © ETA 2004 are printed on the dial. Surrounding the dial is an olive green scalloped plastic rotating bezel marked with minute increments (05 to 60). The case is black-coated aluminium, measuring 32.6mm in diameter with a 15.5mm lug width — perfectly proportioned for a child’s wrist. The crystal is plastic / Hesalite. The case back features a coin-slot battery hatch for easy DIY battery changes.

Movement

Powered by a Swiss Made Analog Quartz movement (0 jewels), running on a 377 / SR626SW battery. Quartz movements of this type are highly accurate and low maintenance — and the coin-slot battery hatch means you can swap the battery yourself without any tools. Water resistance: 3 Bar / 30 metres — suitable for splashes and handwashing, though not recommended for swimming or submersion. Country of Origin: Switzerland — Swiss Made.

Condition

This Flik Flak presents in Good pre-owned condition. The watch is fully functional — the quartz movement is running accurately and all functions operate as intended. The case and bezel show light signs of previous wear consistent with child use. The olive green fabric strap shows honest wear — there is fraying along the edges, some surface distress to the textile, and the buckle area shows signs of use. This is reflected in the price and is entirely consistent with a well-loved kids’ watch. The watch itself functions perfectly and the strap remains secure and wearable.
