About This Aqua Lung

This Professional wears its diving identity openly, from the bold handset and oversized hour markers to the substantial bezel and guarded crown. The Aqua Lung name and logo sit prominently on the dial, with “PROFESSIONAL 500M” below the hands.

There is plenty of personality here without an overcrowded layout. The silver-tone case, black dial and orange accents give it a strong tool-watch appearance, while the replacement strap adds a fresh, colourful finish.

Design & Dial

The black dial features large circular hour markers, with broader shaped markers at 12, 6 and 9 o’clock. A framed date window at 3 o’clock keeps the everyday practicality intact.

The broad hour hand is paired with a distinctive orange-outlined arrow minute hand, making the two easy to distinguish. A slender seconds hand carries a circular luminous detail. The lume photograph shows the hands and hour markers glowing brightly, although no claim is made about glow duration.

The sculpted silver-tone bezel has recessed grip details, black numerals and a triangular reference marker. Its action is reported as excellent. The textured crown sits between protective shoulders towards the lower-right side of the case.

The caseback is marked “Stainless Steel” and “500 Meters Water Resistant.”

Your caliper photographs show approximate measurements of 42.2mm case width, 47.1mm lug-to-lug and 10.5mm thickness. These are photographed measurements, not verified manufacturer specifications. The fitted strap is marked 20mm.

The brand-new orange Dassari FKM strap has a textured, perforated finish, two matching keepers and a silver-tone pin buckle. It is a replacement strap, not presented as original Aqua Lung equipment.

Movement

The dial is marked “Japan VX42 Mov’t.” The watch has a quartz movement with central hours, minutes and seconds, plus a date display. It is reported to be working perfectly at the time of listing.

Important: this watch has not been pressure tested. The 500m marking records its stated rating, not verified present-day water resistance. Water resistance is not guaranteed, and the watch should not be used for swimming or diving without suitable testing.

Condition

Great pre-loved condition overall, with light surface marks visible on the case, bezel and caseback consistent with previous use. The black dial presents well, and the orange strap is brand new. The bezel has a great action, and the watch works perfectly.
